Battle of Raven's Spire

Confrontation: Shinobi of Konaha vs Sasuke Uchiha and Grass Shinobi
Time of Day: Early Morning

Lets go Shinobi ! Fight

Marrik walks to the top of the spire and breathes in deeply, taking in all the fresh air that surrounds him atop the spire. "This is the perfect place to stop, Sasuke is bound to catch up with me soon. Martin starts to gather his chakra when he sees a shinobi in a tree...

Mochiro walks to Lord Hokages mansion to ask shizune if Lord Hokage is up for a sparing session after Mochiro leave of such a long absence.! Shizune then explains that Lord Hokage has ran off to raven spire to confront sasuke before he gets a chance at the village!!! Then, Mochiro thanks sizue for the information and races off to assist Lord Hokage in such an epic battle!!!!

Marrik sits atop the mountain, as he sees a figure in the distance, climb the mountain. "Sasuke Uchiha..." Marrik then stands up and prepares himself for battle. "Wait, this chakra is different, Ive felt this chakra before..." "I dont believe it..." "Well if it isnt Mochiro Uchiha...." Hyuuga then steps and greets Mochiro as he closes in on his position.

Sanmita hurries to the Hokage office, when she is stopped by the ANBU, "The Hokage is not available for the audience Kazuki san." The reply baffles Sanmita, this was state of emergency for heaven's sake. Sanmita was one of the few handful shinobi in village who actually were aware of the crisis being faced by the shinobi world alike.

"When would he be here?" She asks, and the ANBU replies without missing a beat, "He is out of village for an undisclosed period of time."

When he doesn't continue further, Sanmita raises her eyebrow, "Well, where?" The ANBU however, doesn't reply, and asks her to leave. But, Sanmita being Sanmita, simply tells him, "I am quite sure he has not ordered you to keep the people who know what is going on in any kind of darkness. If whatever he is doing is dangerous, then we have right to know. This is not a secret that we are bordering a war, after all. Although people are still unaware...."

The ANBU contemplated at this, and then replied, "It was my own decision to keep the people unaware of what Hokage sama was doing. We don't want people panicking now. He is in pursuit of Sasuke Uchiha, along the way to Raven's spire"

Sanmita contemplated on this, and grinned. "Well, my muscles have been feeling a little lax lately, better give them some action." She turned, and with a slightly predatory grin still plastered over her face, dashed off.

In next half an hour, she was done with her packing, and already out of the gates. "Last I met him was day before yesterday. With my speed and stamina, I will reach Raven's spire in approx. 3 days. I hope Hokage sama doesn't get too pissed off at me for following him like this...." She mused, and then, plunged deep into the forests of fire country towards her destination.

As Sanmita prepared for her journey to Raven's Spire, Marrik and Mochiro continue their walk towards the top of the spire. "Mochiro, You didnt tell anyone where you were going when you left did you?" Mochiro looked off to the trees in the distance as if he already knew he was going to be asked that question. "I didnt notify anybody Lord Hokage, However I dont mean any disrespect sir, but isn't it a little selfish to pursue this shinobi alone and without any backup?" "What if you were to be wounded by him sir, or even worse." "You should have at least have taken members of the Black Ops with you sir." Marrik looked at Mochiro and stopped walking and let out a small chuckle. "Haha, Actually.. Ill have you know that I anticipated your arrival, just like I anticipate that another shinobi by the name of Sanmita will arrive during our confrontation with the enemy." "I chose not to have the ANBU escort me there because the ANBU like to fight on my behalf, and I havent seen any action in a while, So I need to go alone." Marrik and Mochiro then continue walking towards the top of the mountain when Mochiro asks Hokage another question. "Lord Hokage, Are you going to take on the enemy alone and use myself and this other shinobi as backup?" Hokage replied "No Mochiro, you and Sanmita will help me battle Sasuke Uchiha." "I prefer not to handle Sasuke but ive been forced to by my superiors." "Because Sasuke Uchiha has been a Rogue Ninja ever since the Fourth Great Shinobi World War, he has beena threat to all peace and prosperity." "Naruto Uzumaki, The son of the Legendary Fourth Hokage, The Seventh Hokage of the Leaf fought against Sasuke long ago but wasnt able to kill him." "Its our duty to either bring Sasuke back to the village for interrogation or eridicate him from the ninja world." "Sasuke is a master of the Sharingan and has the ability to use both Lightning and Fire Ninjutsu." "He is also skilled in Genjutsu as well as Taijutsu." Marrik looked at Mochiro as they continued to run up the mountain. "Your Earth abilities will come in handy Mochiro, as they are able to counter Lightning." "Sanmita's talents in Genjutsu will aid us in not being captured in any of Sasuke's Genjutsu." Mochiro then asks, "What about you Lord Hokage?" "Well, im not very useful because of the fact I use Lightning and Water Releases, however, my speed and agility will be useful against an enemy such as Sasuke because Lightning Ninjutsu requires speed, and if he uses any, I promice you that you wont outrun or counter them, Im the only one that can counter him." As Marrik and Mochiro near the peak of the mountain, Mochiro spots an object coming at an immense speed towards them. "Lord Hokage..." "Alright, its huge. Run in opposite directions and meet up at the top, GO!" Marrik and Mochiro split up as the huge object closes in on their position.

" This is such a huge amount of chakra, I've never felt something so powerful before". " That sasuke character must be extremely skilled to possess so much power". Mochiro continues to the top of Raven spire, Mochiro prepared for battle by opening his 3 tomoe sharigan eyes in case of any surprise attacks. " Hopefully Madara doesnt show up and sneek sasuke away in the middle of the fight". Reaching the top of Raven spire, Mochiro and Lord Hokage felt sasuke and his ninja closing in faster and faster. " Lord Hokage are you sensing that chakra", " Yes, Mochiro its coming from the same direction as you came". " Didnt you say you had another ninja from the village coming to assist us". " Your right, that must be Sanmita", as Lord Hokage and Mochiro turnt around, they couldnt spot a thing in site. " Lord Hokage look to your left", Mochiro spotted Sanmita coming from the western corner from the position in which he came. Seconds passing and Sanmita arrived where Mochiro and Lord Hokage stood. " Great, to see you again Lord Hokage, Sanmita said". " Same to you, by the way this is Mochiro a tremendous shinobi as you are to Sanmita". Mochiro greeted Sanmita as Sanmita greeted him back, then Mochiro turned to the both of them, " Sasuke is going to be here soon we should get ready for his arrival". " We should set some traps, that way we get rid of some of sasukes ninja to make it a little easier on ourselves.

Sanmita was a bit taken aback by Mochiro's presence. She thought Marrik was supposed to be travelling alone! "Hokage sama, you should have told you were not alone, I was so worried! If I had known Mochiro had come, I would have stayed back...", she spoke sternly, but there was slight hint of betrayal in it.

Hokage smiled, "You know that isn't true Sanmita. You would have followed anyway. And I did intend to come alone. Mochiro, like you, decided to follow me. And in a way, I am glad you did. Sasuke Uchiha is stronger than me in more ways than one. My Jagger fist can counter it, but still, his hands on experience is way above mine. But I still needed to try. In a way, I am glad you two are here. Now, we have a chance at beating him without many casualties....seeing Sanmita has a good healing Jutsu in her arsenal. And as I mentioned earlier to mochiro, your Genjutsu is actually commendable, good enough to counter Sasuke's stronger Genjutsu techniques, anyway. So lets start with the traps now, shall we?" He chuckled at Sanmita's scowl, and Marrik started leading the group, with Sanmita and Mochiro flanking from behind. Sanmita, still scowling, muttered, "Impulsive Hokage...what if we had not come? Decided to blindly think that he can defeat Sasuke Fricking Uchiha...absurd!"

Mochiro pursed his lips in his attempt to suppress his smile, and watched as he saw Hokage's face lifting a little from the side as well. He finally snickered, and poked Sanmita's arm for her attention. When he got it, he pointed towards Hokage and mouthed a 'He can hear you'. The horrified expression that came on Sanmita's face after this was enough to get him laughing.

They continued working with the traps, and when they were done. Marrik sat down and started describing the terrain of Raven's spire to them. Since Sanmita and Mochiro's fighting styles were complete opposites, they could actually decide on their roles for the fight. These two shinobi were the strongest bunch of shinobi in the village at their age, perhaps stronger than even some elite Jonins, which in itself, said a lot. They could hold out well on their own against a bunch of Chuunins, with Sanmita's Kronos' chaos slowing people down, and Mochiro's speed beating crap out of them before they could blink an eye. It was Sasuke who was wild card...they didn't know how strong he was now. So they waited....and hoped that they will be able to return their home soon.

As Marrik neared finishing his explanation of the terrain to Sanmita and Mochiro, he suddenly pushed Sanmita and Mochiro to the ground as he looked around to find the shinobi afoot. As Marrik looked around , Mochiro whispered to Sanmita as they lay head down on the ground "whats going on?" Marrik then flinched and made a deep gasp. "Lord Hokage, is everything ok?" Marrik bit his lip, slightly saying "tre.." and smiled at Sanmita. Marrik took another breath and fell to the ground in the middle of them. As Hokage fell, Sanmita saw seven kunai stuck to Marrik's back. "Mochiro! He was hit, We must find out who did this right away." "No Sanmita, Lord Hokage was trying to say something before he fell, he smiled at us..." The agitated Sanmita then said "Well hell, I cant read facial expressions." Sanmita then started to try and wedge the kunai out of Marrik's back as he lay on the ground. "These kunai hit his back all at the same time..." Sanmita then put her hand on his back and rose it to the sky. "Search over there Mochiro, thats where they came from. Ill stay here and try to remove the kunai from his back." Mochiro nodded and dashed off. Sanmita then looked at Hokage's face as he layed unconcious on the ground. "Those kunai struck his back at the same time, which would mean they werent trying to kill him, but get him down..." "Then's theres the fact that he didnt aim for myself or Mochiro, whoever did this doesnt want Hokage to interfere..." "I dont know how, but I have a feeling that this was planned, it doesnt make any sense, but whomever did this knew Hokage would be listening out for enemy movements and decided to take him out." Then, Mochiro returned dragging what seemed to be a corpse. Mochiro brought the corpse and sat it next to Sanmita. "His kunai match the kunai in Hokage's back." "This is our enemy, but it seems hes dead." Sanmita then looked at Mochiro and laughed. "So thats why Lord Hokage smiled..." "He knew that we would figure it out without having him around..." "This is a suicide mission Mochiro, The enemy knew he couldnt take on the three of us, so he planned to take out the strongest one and deal with the other two himself." Mochiro then said "Yeah, and im guessing he saw you trace the trajectory of the kunai and order me to search there, so once he figured that out, he knew he was outsmarted and decided to kill himself." Sanmita then removed her hand from Marrik's back and placed all seven kunai on the ground and finished wrapping his back up in bandages. Mochiro then spoke and said "The questions is why didnt Hokage move, its like he wanted to be hit by the kunai.." A familiar voice then rose and said, "Its because I couldnt move, Mochiro use your left hand and strike the air beside you." Both shinobi said "Lord Hokage! Your alright!" Mochiro then did as he was instructed and struck the air beside him when several strings hit the ground beside him. "See that, Those kunai were attached to that string, and beyond that string was a Shadow Possession Jutsu Shinobi, Once he heard me speak to you guys, he let the strings go so my body could fall to the ground." Sanmita inturruped, "Lord Hokage if I may, our top priority must be to protect you at all cost, if we come back to the village and speak of a death of the Tenth Hokage, there will be hell to pay..." Marrik then smiled at the girl and said "Will you please heal my wounds Sanmita, and please make it quick. I sense another powerful chakra nearby and its higher than the both of yours and its... its..." "Its what Lord Hokage?" Said Mochiro. "This chakra exceeds even my own, please promice me youll be careful..." Both shinobi nodded and Mochiro rose to his feet and stood in front of Sanmita and Lord Hokage. "Ill make sure there are no distractions, but you must hurry Sanmita." Sanmita replied to her fellow ninja and began using her medical ninjutsu to heal the wounds of the Storm Sage.....
